From a seemingly "unremarkable" workshop, it has grown step by step over 30 years into a "remarkable" world-class leading enterprise. This is Huayou Holding Group Co., Ltd.

Over these three decades, starting from Tongxiang, Huayou has built an operational structure encompassing overseas resources, international manufacturing, and global markets. It has developed a new energy lithium battery industry ecosystem ranging from cobalt-nickel resource development, green smelting, to deep processing of lithium battery cathode materials, and then to resource recycling and utilization, becoming a global leader in the cobalt industry and a leading company in the lithium battery industry.

This year marks not only the 9th International Annual Conference of Huayou but also its 30th anniversary of entrepreneurship.

"In 1994, I purchased 1.6 acres of land beside Yongxing River in Xianghou Village, Lutou Town, Tongxiang City, and leased 2 acres from the village, founding Tongxiang Huaxing Chemical Industry Co., Ltd." Thirty years ago, by Yongxing River in Wuzhen, Chen Xuehua, the founder of Huayou, started with a few small bungalows and several large iron pots.

In 2002, in the early winter morning, Huayou people raised the flag of "pioneering and advancing with the times", stepping through the mud from the countryside into the city, embarking on a new journey.

In 2003, to seek more raw materials, Chen Xuehua, along with a borrowed translator, flew to Africa for inspection, taking firm steps towards Huayou's internationalization.

Over these thirty years, Huayou's main business has expanded from initial nickel oxide and cobalt oxide to lithium battery cathode materials, lithium battery copper foil, cobalt new materials, and cobalt-nickel-lithium mineral resource development and green smelting, forming a lithium battery material integrated industry chain and a circular economy system.

Over these thirty years, Huayou has actively responded to the national "going out" strategy and the “Belt and Road Initiative”, starting from Tongxiang, it has entered countries such as Indonesia, Congo (Kinshasa), Morocco, Zimbabwe, Germany, and Hungary, establishing an open development path that enhances international competitiveness through project construction and expands overseas markets, building a cross-border operational pattern of overseas resources, domestic manufacturing, and global markets, becoming an important force in the global lithium battery materials industry.

Over these thirty years, Huayou has actively practiced the concept of contributing to local economic and social development wherever it invests, actively engaging in public welfare activities and social projects such as scholarship donations, charitable contributions, community building, disaster relief, and voluntary blood donation at its various manufacturing bases at home and abroad, achieving joint construction, development, and prosperity.
